"Unnamed" (Bloodsign)

Graphic Novel, Worldbuilding

This project is my most recent. It includes narrative development, character, environment, and clothing design, and magic system brainstorming.

Thycho Damiana is a young blood mage from a militant, highly territorial nation residing in the coldest regions of the land. On the day he is drafted to a war he does not want to fight in, he is transported to the middle of nowhere, a spirit of nature itself choosing him as one of its seasonal paragons.

This is a story involving two very distinct parts of Thycho's life: his childhood, up until about 20, and his adulthood, at around 65.

"Egaeus"

20 Page Comic

2025-2026: A retelling of Edgar Allan Poe's Berenice.

This was my submission for Volume 1 of The Eversprawling Castle, a multi-media zine published digitally. The theme for this edition was "Tell It Again", asking each entrant to adapt a public domain story or folktale into a new form. I was also the front cover artist for this edition, depicting a cyber-punk style interpretation of Orpheus, paired with another artist's Eurydice on the back.

You can find the zine and read the comic on the Internet Archive for free, by clicking here!

"Down the Hall"

Graphic Novel, Anthology

2024: This is a colleciton stories, unreal and unnerving, centering on isolation and loneliness. They take place in a hyper-dense city that has slowly been regaining a sense of normalcy after an apocalyptic rise in sea levels displaced hundreds of thousands of pepole. These stories contain themes of self-isolation, recovery from trauma, processing death, and the reception of grief.

This project began as simple character studies, now turned into a setting I want to explore and develop visually. Some resources that I've found great inspiration in were The City of Darkness by Greg Girard and Ian Lambot, a website only accessible on the Wayback Machine about the last (illegal) walkthrough of the city before its demolition, and the game Kowloon's Gate on the Playstation 1.
