I'm Hanh, aka Art! I'm an independent artist and theatrical technician. I love tabletop roleplaying games, indie video games, and most anything in the horror genre.
I work in many mediums, primarily pencil work, watercolors, and gouache, but I have also done a lot of digital experimental work as well! I am also in the process of updating my commissions page. Most of my art involves adapting TTRPG content or original works, which is often concept design, character design, and clothing mechanics.
My other major artistic hobby is re-creating Pre-17th Century historical manuscripts, using methods the same as/similar to period practices of the time. This medium includes gouache painting, plaster gilding, calligraphic technique, vellum prepping, and many other facets of manuscript creation. I work through the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) to create these awards and honors
My primary fields of work are in the museum and library sciences fields. I hold a Master's Certification in Textile Collections Management, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Costume and Prop Design, and a few Associates in Fine Arts and Liberal Arts. This set of degrees may look disparate, but together they inform my specific interest in historical costuming and textile preservation, with the ability to re-create garments, or be informed enogh to perform condition assessment and repairs. I have a deep familiarity with garment construction from my BFA, both historical and contemporary, which then adds hands on experience to my work.
